JV II basketball squad improves to 2-0
1.4.09 - The Junior Varsity II basketball team improved their record to 2-0 with a 26-20 win over Word of Life. David Lindsay had 8 points to lead the Monarchs, and Oliver Shaw-Archibald had 7.
JV I basketball team defeats Punahou Gold, 67-59
1.4.09 - The Junior Varsity I basketball team started its season on the winning track, defeating Punahou Gold, 67-59 at Scanlan Gymnasium.
JV II squad beats Lutheran in OT, 51-49
1.4.09 - The Junior Varsity II squad earned their first victory of the ILH season by defeating Lutheran High School in overtime, 51-49. David Lindsay and Justin Motta-Viera led the way with 16 and 15 points respectively.
Four to represent Damien in Senior Bowl
1.4.09 - OL Jordan Aina, DE Kameren Amaral, FS Anthony "Bones" Tuitele, and DT Isaac Ulukita will be representing Damien at the 18th annual Hawai'i Goodwill Senior Bowl on December 12 at Aloha Stadium.
Five named to ILH Football All-Star Teams
1.3.09 - Senior offensive lineman Jordan Aina was a first-team ILH All-Star selection, and seniors Anthony Tuitele (all-purpose), Isaac Ulukita (defensive lineman), Jeremiah Matautia (linebacker), and junior Makana Ka'anoi (wide reciever) earned second-team selections.
Jordan Aina named to Advertiser's Division II All-State Team
1.3.09 - Cogratulations to senior Jordan Aina, who was a first team selection at Offensive Lineman in the Honolulu Advertiser's Division II All-State Team. Junior running back Brenan Furtado and Senior defensive back Anthony Tuitele garnered Honorable Mention nods.
Monarchs beat Firebrands, 19-14
12.29.08 - Stanton Pilialoha threw for two touchdowns and Josh Asuncion scampered for 140 yards rushing on 13 carries to lead the Monarchs over Word of Life, 19-14 at Aloha Stadium. Damien closes the season with two straight wins and a 7-5 record. [ More ]
Tuitele interception helps West beat East, 21-14
12.13.08 - An Anthony Tuitele interception helped the West All-Stars to a 21-14 win over the East All-Stars in the Hawai'i Union Builders Goodwill Senior Bowl at Aloha Stadium. Tuitele picked off a Shon Fujii pass on 1st and goal and returned it to the West's 30-yard line, which led to an eventual touchdown on the ensuing West drive.
Damien wins ILH doubles bowling championship
12.4.08 - The Damien doubles team of Gabriel Ching and Jordan Murai won the 2008 ILH doubles bowling championship on October 23rd at Fort Shafter Bowling Center. [ More ]
'08 Bailey scores twice against La. Tech
12.4.08 - Idaho RB and 2008 graduate Kama Bailey scored 2 touchdowns on pass receptions of 33 and 27 yards in a 46-14 loss to Louisiana Tech. The two scores were the first of Kama's collegiate career.

11.8.08 - Two touchdown strikes from Stanton Pilialoha to Makana Ka'anoi and a number of key defensive stops proved to be the difference as Damien outlasted Pac-5, 20-14, for a Homecoming game win. [ More ]
Andrade, Memea to represent Hawaii baseball in Arizona
10.31.08 - Senior DJ Andrade and junior Michael Memea will represent Hawaii baseball in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic baseball showcase Oct. 16 to 19.
Monarchs lose to St. Louis, 42-12
10.30.08 - In a third straight matchup against an ILH Div. I opponent, the Monarchs fell short against St. Louis, 42-12 at Aloha Stadium last night. The Monarchs scored on a 31-yard touchdown strike from Anthony Tuitele to Makana Ka'anoi and a 1-yard plunge by Jeremiah Matautia. Damien's record is 5-5 on the season. [ More ]
Monarchs lose to Punahou, 38-12
10.25.08 - Playing shorthanded on both sides of the football, the varsity team lost to Division 1 opponent Punahou, 39-12. Breysen Lee ran for a 1-yard touchdown, and Austin Dawson had 3 receptions for a game-high 106 yards, including a 64-yard touchdown. Damien is 5-4 on the season. [ More ]
Warriors topple Monarchs, 48-0
10.11.08 - The Monarchs record fell to 5-3 on the season, as the Warriors took control early and led throughout, en route to 48-0 victory. The varsity squad looks to get back on track next week against Punahou. [ More ]

Each year, nearly 300 Damien student athletes compete at various levels in football, basketball, baseball, track and field, cross-country, soccer, bowling, volleyball, wrestling, canoe paddling and golf.
Intermediate Sports
Our Intermediate Sports programs are open to seventh and eighth grade students in a variety of disciplines, among them basketball, canoe paddling, wrestling, and volleyball. Our teams compete in both the ILH and CSL.
Varsity and Junior Varsity Sports
Damien fields teams at both the Varsity and Junior Varsity level in football, basketball, baseball, track and field, cross-country, soccer, bowling, volleyball, wrestling, canoe paddling and golf.
